What is an Infopreneur?

People of all ages, all backgrounds and education, from all over the world, are learning how easy it can be to make extra money online.

You already know that the internet can be a good source to find information. Now it's possible to make money by PROVIDING quality information to others. The most profitable areas are usually non-fiction ‘how-to’ subject matter, where you teach or demonstrate how to do something.

Learning how to sell information online is an internet business idea most people can consider. Through infopreneuring, your passions, expertise, interests and life experience all have the potential to become a fulfilling source of income.

Think about it...

What could you create, explain, demonstrate or research that might be of interest to others? What do you know how to do particularly well? Is your “common knowledge” uncommon or in demand somewhere else in the world? Here are some infopreneur examples and ideas to help get you started.

Of the 1.6 billion internet users in 2008, 452 million people from across the globe speak English. How many of them might be interested in the same things you are? Can you see yourself writing about something you enjoy or have a lot of knowledge about? What about researching a subject where you’ve discovered there is a demand? Could you demonstrate something visually or make an audio recording that would appeal to others? Do you love to draw or come up with snappy sayings? Maybe you could consider starting a t-shirt business or line of greeting cards.

A word of caution...

There are plenty of websites willing to reveal the secrets of making money online, but few offer much genuine content for free. Be wary of the one-page website or email hyping easy ways to make money online. Often they claim to have all the answers but don't let you see the actual information until after purchase. Of course some are legitimate but, with all the options available nowadays, it’s wise to do your research before making a purchase in this particular niche.

Most people could actually do this if they wanted to.

People of all ages and backgrounds are building profitable internet businesses. With virtually no risk and minimal start-up costs, the biggest investment is your time, not your money. If you've always wanted to own your own business or simply desire more control over your income and time, infopreneuring might be something to seriously consider.
